[A szöveg csak angol nyelven érhető el] The performance “It’s Not Me, It’s Us”, will integrate live performance with projected video and music. I will play three different characters, and video will be projected onto me as well as the wall I am standing in front of. The performance will be timed tightly so that there is interaction between the scene on the screen and my live character.
The piece will explore notions of gender confusion. The character I play will attack itself at every turn, trying to find an identity that is true to itself, and he/she will become another character on the screen but also live. (So costume changes will take place). The video “It’s Not Me, It’s Us” will use video that I have shot and edited, along with some found footage. The soundtrack will be synched to the video, and will be claustrophobic and poppy.
