Ruido Gris
[A szöveg csak angol nyelven érhető el] ( VJ Parabola + Astronauta Libertad )

Ruido Gris (Grey Noise) is an AudioVisual Performance which tries to break the boundaries between the VJ and the DJ in the search of an unique artistic entity. Each video is directly linked to an audio loop and are indifferently triggered by the DJ or the VJ, at the same time that each of them operates personally over his own material.

"(...) we will be experimenting with audio and video trying to represent what means living in a big city nowadays, with its contamination, its loneliness, its alienation and its botox commercials. We are also trying to remember our forgotten roots and to wake up from this pharmacological coma in which we are... (...) .." (Astronauta Libertad)

Working with found footage as a starting point (Ralph Steiner Mechanical Principles 1930 and diverse material), this performance starts from a series of hard looking, two-toned loops from "Mechanical Principles" along with hard, repetitive noises which try to make an uncomfortable situation to the spectator, also some infommercial audios are played at this point. The set will continue gathering sounds over each other, making it even more confusing until it slowly imbricates into a more gentle house/techno music with full color visuals, in this case, mostly from cells video files.

The set is not technically demanding. It requires a big area to project and a VGA projector, also a stereo audio equipment that matches the room size. In the original set , a 3000ansilumens projector was used covering an area of 6x5 meters aprox although the size may vary acording to the place.
