The device generates sounds based on the light intensity coming out of the screen. The light to sound device then triggers an AV synthesizer which generates additional sounds and video signals to an additional screen. All sounds and video signals are expressively tweaked by the performer with the help of the devices own features, mixers and additional sound effects.
